MGOL Method
MGOL has a unique structure; each session is comprised of 10 segments that follow a specific order. These segments repeat and vary in an optimal 80% / 20% ratio. MGOL integrates findings from brain research, best practices from library lapsits and storytimes, and multiple theories of learning. Nursery rhymes are used to create nurturing play experiences that foster experimentation, creative thinking, scaffolded learning, and practice of self-regulation skills. Presenters model positive ways to interact with children and use informal developmental tips to explain different aspects of child development to parents. The music basics of MGOL are patterned after a “Your Baby Needs Music” class using the “Listen, Like, Learn” method of the late Barbara Cass-Beggs, a true visionary of children’s learning.
